Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences is a comprehensive agricultural scientific research institution directly under the people's Government of Jiangsu Province. Its predecessor is the Central Agricultural Experimental Institute founded by the national government in 1931. It is the first agricultural scientific research institution established according to the organizational structure of modern agricultural science and technology innovation in China. After the founding of new China, it was renamed Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 1977 after the historical periods of East China Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Jiangsu Branch of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

The academy is located in the scenic Zhongshan scenic area, covering an area of 1916 mu, with 92000 square meters of scientific research office space and 36000 square meters of talent space.
